Brunch on Gibson Street, every day till four
The Left Bank serves brunch every day from 10am until 4pm at 33-35 Gibson Street in Glasgow's West End, a short walk from Kelvinbridge Subway and Kelvingrove Park. The brunch menu has been running since 2006, there are dedicated vegan and gluten-free brunch menus, dogs are welcome, and you can book online or walk in.
When
Brunch runs all day, ten till four, seven days a week. It is the same menu on a Tuesday as on a Sunday. From four the evening menu takes over, and the kitchen runs until midnight.
What to order
Eggs mornay (£11.50) and the Lebanese breakfast (£14.50) have been on the menu since 2006 and are the two dishes regulars come back for. The Banks breakfast (£16) is the full Scottish; the veggie breakfast (£15.50) swaps in veggie haggis and halloumi. Steak and eggs (£22), fried chicken and waffles (£17), burji masala eggs with warm chapatti (£11), French toast with maple (£10.50) and a Greek yoghurt bowl (£10.50) round it out. Prices are as published on the menus page and change there first.
Vegan and gluten-free brunch
Dedicated vegan and gluten-free brunch menus are available every day. The vegan side runs burji masala tofu (£11), a vegan breakfast with veggie haggis sausage and batata harra (£15.50) and a vegan Lebanese breakfast (£14.50). Please tell your server about dietary requirements and allergies, as some dishes need adapting. We take every precaution, but we cannot guarantee any dish is completely free of trace allergens.
Kids, dogs and groups
Children are welcome, with a kids' menu (£5 to £8) and high chairs. Dogs are welcome, and always have been. For eight or more, email contact@theleftbank.co.uk so the kitchen knows you are coming.
