Vegan and gluten-free dining on Gibson Street
Two separate menus, both on every day. The Left Bank runs a dedicated vegan menu and a dedicated gluten-free menu alongside the main one, from brunch at 10am through the evening, at 33-35 Gibson Street in Glasgow's West End.
They are different menus for different needs. A vegan dish is not automatically gluten-free, and a gluten-free dish is not automatically vegan. If you need both, say so when you order.
How it works
Both menus are kept up to date on the menus page, which is the version the kitchen works from. This page explains what is on them and how to order.
Tell your server what you need before you order. Some dishes on the main menu are made vegan or gluten-free on request, and a few gluten-free dishes are only available from 4pm.

If a dish needs to be both vegan and gluten-free, tell your server when you order and they will confirm with the kitchen what works that day.

Questions people ask
Is the vegan menu available all day?
Yes, every day. The vegan brunch dishes run until 4pm and the rest of the vegan menu from 4pm. From 9pm the kitchen moves to the shorter late kitchen menu, which still has vegan choices, until last orders at midnight.
Is a vegan dish also gluten-free?
Not automatically. The two menus are separate. Some dishes sit on both, and the section above lists them, but always tell your server if you need a dish to be both.
Can you cater for coeliacs?
There is a dedicated gluten-free menu and the team takes care with every order, but we cannot guarantee any dish is completely free of trace allergens. Tell your server and they will talk you through the choices.
Can I get vegan or gluten-free food late?
Yes. The kitchen takes last orders at midnight, and the late kitchen menu includes the veggie curry of the week, the hoisin mushroom wonton, the gado gado salad and the veggie haggis burger, all of which are on the vegan menu. Gluten-free versions of the curry, the gado gado, the nasi goreng and the burgers are on the gluten-free menu. See late-night food.
Do I need to book?
No. Walk in when there is space, or book online; booking is quickest for weekend evenings.
