Late-night drinks on Gibson Street, till 1am
The Left Bank is a vinyl listening bar at 33-35 Gibson Street in Glasgow's West End, open every day till 1am, a few minutes from Kelvinbridge Subway. Cocktails, wine and beer on draught, records played properly on a system built for the room, and a kitchen taking orders till midnight. Walk in for a drink, or book a table.
When
The bar is open every day from 10am till 1am. From 9pm the kitchen moves to the late kitchen menu, with last food orders at midnight, so there's still something to eat with your last round.
Over Christmas and New Year the hours change: see the Christmas page.
What to drink
Twelve house cocktails, from the chilli and pineapple margarita (£10) and the salted caramel espresso martini (£10) to the smoked old fashioned (£10.50) and Violet Skies (£10.50), plus all the classics, from an Aperol spritz (£9.50) to a Manhattan (£10.50). On draught: Mariposa, Cruzcampo, Fürstenberg, Birra Moretti, Guinness, Neck Oil IPA and Inch's cider, with pints from £5. Wine comes by the glass or the bottle, with prosecco and crémant if it's that kind of night.
Not drinking? There's Estrella 0.0, Fürstenberg Zero and Guinness 0.0, plus house spritzers (£4.70): mint and ginger, rose and lemon, rosemary and lime, or elderflower and cucumber.
The music
The room is arranged around vinyl, played properly on a system built for the space, at a volume where you can still hold a conversation. Glasgow selectors and guests play every Friday and Saturday from 9pm till 1am, with monthly residencies through the week, and the regular selector nights are free entry. See what's on for who's playing.
Food till midnight
The late kitchen menu runs from 9pm until last orders at midnight: haggis bon bons, Korean cauliflower, the curry of the week and the burgers. More on late-night food.
